California Adventure (Day 2)

On our second day, we were privileged with seeing a CELEBRITY! We were soo excited that we got to see

Harrison Ford!


This was the best picture that we were able to get of him. But it was kinda funny how we saw him. Ben and I were waiting in line for a ride and this guy start walking through the exit to the front of the ride and at first I was kinda mad that someone got to go straight to the front, and then that's when Ben said "Hey I think that's Harrison Ford" and I looked again and said "No... He's too skinny to be Ford!" Then he started walking back through the exit line and I realized it WAS Ford and told Ben "Getyourcameraout! Getyourcameraout! GETYOURCAMERA!" (as I'm hitting Ben to get his attention) :-).





The first day at Disneyland, Ben wanted some Cotton Candy, but he was going to wait until later in the day to get it. When he finally decided he wanted some, we looked all over Disneyland, but they were OUT! Crazy huh! So when we went to California Adventure the second day, Ben was ecstatic when he saw the cotton candy!

Here we are in front of Hollywood Tower at the beginning of the day. I really wanted to ride this first thing because I heard so many good things about it. But the line was way too long (75-90 minutes). So we decided to wait.

This was when we were on the Sun Wheel. We got one of the swinging ones, it was fun. Its soo cool to see all of Disneyland and California Adventure when you're at the top.

We finally went back to Hollywood Tower and gave in to standing in line for a long time (we tried to get fast passes, but they were all out by the time we got to it :-/). Ben took a nap in line, it was so long. (j/k!) The 3rd picture down, was when we were finally inside waiting in line again (we thought that once you were inside, that was the ride... We were pretty disappointed). I think that the camera on the ride should've taken a picture earlier in the ride when we were actually screaming, but its still all fun!

This was the ride Grizzly River Run. It was pretty much night time when we got to it and started to get a bit chilly (we were there at the beginning of February) . We didn't want to get wet so we wore ponchos!! Smart huh!?

Ben's favorite ride at California adventure was... CALIFORNIA SCREAMIN'. (I'm thinking he would've liked Six Flags better, so we'll have to go there next time...). In the first picture, Ben and I both look like dorks... In the 2nd picture, we pretended to be asleep :-D. ZzZzZz...

We had so much fun at California Adventure on the 2nd day. There definitely some PROs and CONs without the family. It was nice to not have to be on anybody else's schedule, but we missed the company of our family.

DISNEYLAND (Day 1)

This was Ben's first time at Disneyland ever! So I thought I would take a picture of him before his Disneyland ride... Space Mountain. We decided to do something cute for the picture that they take of you while you're on the ride!

After looking at all the pictures and thinking back, I think our family's favorite ride was... Splash Mountain. We all had fun doing things for the pictures. And apparantly we all liked getting wet too, haha! Some of us got soaked! Especially the ones sitting in the front.

There were soo many pictures that we took and I wanted to put on here, but I did limit, even it still seems like a lot of pictures on here. The next ones are some of the other rides we were on... Buzz Lightyear... Matterhorn... etc.

Here are random pictures of Ben and I throughout the day. In the 3rd picture down, Ben and I were sticking out our stomach to see who's was bigger... coughBencough. :-)

The next pictures are of my family and us hanging out with a little down time in between rides. Don't you love our BLUE SHIRTS!? Several people mentioned to us while in line that they had seen us all over Disneyland ;-).

We had so much fun with our family! We were sad that we only got one day with them (they were there the day before, but Ben and I couldn't make it out in time).

A Tag...

1. How long have you been together?
We just got married 3 months ago in October, but been together just over a year (last January)

2. Who said I love you first?
I'm like Jenny Nelson and was very stubborn about saying it first and waited for him to say it first even though I knew for about a month before he said it. And of course, I was right behind him in saying it.

3. Who is smarter?
We're both smart, but about different stuff (for example, you can ask him anything about history and he's got an answer for you, but if you want some math problem solved, I'm there.)

4. Who pays the bills?
I do! (see #3)

5. Who cooks dinner?
Depends, if it involve grilling meat, its all Ben, but other than that, we're pretty even on this.

6. Who drives the car when you are together?
Ben. (I use to like driving a lot, but not so much anymore.)

7. Who is the most stubborn?
Well, we're both really stubborn, but Ben definitely thinks I'm the most stubborn. And I'll admit, it's probably true but only by a little bit.

8. Who wears the pants in the family?
Haha, I like Jenny's answer on this one and I'm gonna copy her :-D "Well I've never seen [Ben] wear a skirt..."

Three Random Things About Me:

1. I'm going to Disneyland in 3 days! Woo-hoo!
2. I've recently discovered a love for Thai food, especially anything curry flavor, yum! But I haven't seen a Thai place by where I live. The best Thai restaurant I've tried (ok... the only restaurant) is Dara Thai in Flagstaff. (Jenny... does Faron know of Thai place here? We should find a place and get together there!)
3. I really want another dog (maybe a husky or a lab)! But we can't, since we live in an apartment (its hard enough with one dog).

I was going to tag Kelsie (O), but the last time I did that, she took 2 months to respond... but... I would love for her to do it anyways! I also tag Erin and Liz (if she reads this).

Family Pictures!

Here are some of our oh sooo many pictures we took. Usually, and I think this is true for people especially people with at least a few kids in their family, it gets crazy trying to get everyone to cooperate and get the pictures done quickly as possible. BUT amazingly we did awesome and got them done quick! Thank goodness! So everyone afterwards was a happy camper instead of a party pooper. We had a lot of fun getting together and have some serious smiling ones and also some crazy funny ones. This year we also tried the "Zoolander Look" :-D.... go look!

I love Ben and me in the 4th one down! We sat there, doing that pose forever (because we had the camera on a timer, so a red light would flash right before it takes a picture), finally we asked if it had taken the picture yet, cuz no one had said anything yet, since we couldn't see if it had taken the picture yet.

The two big ones at the bottom are my favorite out of the pictures we took.

The best day...

My birthday was on Friday, the 18th, and Ben made it the best day for me! He woke me up with breakfast in bed with the new bed tray he got for me. Then we went and got my hair cut (I've been meaning to do it FOREVER and could never get around to it, so it was perfect that Ben set me an appointment that day). After that we went to "P.S. I Love You", which I loved! Then we went to my parents for my favorite dinner, steak and baked potatoes! And instead of cake for desserts, we had my favorite dessert... Apple Pie! YUM! :-D

My day was a perfect mix of activities but relaxing day! Btw, I'm 21!
