Planting one step at a time...

My mother-in-law, gave us some of her plants from her beautiful garden/backyard. We planted them tonight in attempt to make our back yard look better.

I know it may not look like much, but I already love my backyard more with these plants! So far these are the only plants we have in our backyard (with the exception of grass).

We don't have very many plants not because we're lazy about planting (okay maybe we are a litte bit :-D) but Bella (our 1-year old pit-bull) loves to dig!!! Well that it is until I found this stuff:

This stuff work miracles! If any of you have pets that dig in your backyard, this spray (which is bottled in recycled soda bottles, talk about going green!) will deter them. You can get it at Petco.

Megan! I'm so glad your back in the blogging world. So how does that Dig Stop stuff work? That's so interesting. Way to go with getting those plants in the ground. I am SO lazy about yard work and just can't bring myself to do it.

Megs, they look great. They will fill in all that space in about 3 years if you keep them watered. They're very hardy once they are established. Once my sister gave me some that sat in a plastic bag for 6 weeks, and most of them still grew once I got them in the ground.

Next time you come I'll give you some yellow ones too.
